Meet Miss Louise of The Louise Wright Theatre School in Kettering.
Miss Louise is the proud owner and principle of Louise Wright Theatre School, a local performing arts school offering a variety of classes for children.
Established in Kettering eight years ago, formally known as LW Dance and just offering dance classes, Louise Wright Theatre School has grown into a vibrant and inclusive school providing fun and educational classes in dance, acting, singing and musical theatre.
Louise’s ethos is very much about the ‘good vibes’ and being student led.
She firmly believes in the arts being accessible for all and bases her teaching on encouraging her students to believe in themselves. ‘For me it is all about the children and their happiness and providing a safe and happy space for them to grown into healthy young people.... teaching the arts is my passion and I want to share this with children to unlock their abilities and talent and support their growth in confidence, self esteem and ability’.
As well as teaching, Louise works in the industry and is big on providing performance opportunities in the school’s performing arts showcases, musicals and at local events. ‘Seeing our students grown in confidence is so rewarding, we are very blessed to watch them shine on stage and see them believe in themselves and their ability’.
In addition to classes and performance, Louise offers exams in acting, singing, dance and musical theatre, giving students the option to progress and achieve through grades. ‘Exams are completely optional, however they provide a foundation in knowledge and ability in the chosen genre, and I am very pleased to say that to date that all of students who have taken exams have achieved the highest attainment of Distinction.’
