The Blitz Tea Rooms and Jazz Lounge in Kettering survives the battle!!
The Blitz was under threat from the Kettering Council who want it to become a new entrance for the museum.
Thousands of Blitz Tea Rooms customers had been on social media to show their support for the tea rooms which, its owners Jarmen and Jasmen, were to fall victim to plans by building owners Kettering Council who want it to become a new entrance for the museum.
More than 1,300 supporters had signed the 'Save The Blitz Tea Room' online petition and we at the Best of Kettering have more than 1500 great reviews for this amazing business.
Jarmen said to the Evening Telegraph: "Life has been hell for me in the last few days. The council is the government and then there's little me. I now know that it's going to be OK'.
We are so pleased that The Blitz has survived this threat and can't wait for reopening after Lockdown.
