We had a fantastic meal in The Wheatsheaf last Thursday. It was the new menu from Chef Asa and it really was top notch, quality food. Mushroom arancini to start which was so full of great flavours. The wife had duck to follow and I had the blade of beef; both gorgeous and very good portion sizes. Well done to Asa and all the team; keep it up!

Had a complete bathroom refit and the service from Iain and the Team was excellent, nothing was to much trouble, and we changed our minds a few times but they were always there to help. The level of work was outstanding, we are so pleased that we decided to use Rothwell Tiles cant fault them.

I went for a Sunday afternoon dinner with friends and the roast beef dinner was amazing, kid’s menu was perfect and the staff are always absolutely brilliant.
Nice, clean, warm, friendly atmosphere.
I have since been returning on a be more regular basis and every experience has been absolutely fantastic… food is always great and all meats used in the restaurant are locally sourced from the local butcher… 100% top quality.
Walkability: Everything is within a 10 minute radius of the pub, so no need for driving.
Perfect.
Food & drinks: Absolutely amazing quality.

Great place to go for a pint, drink or to eat. Very pretty pub and location. The price of food is the only reason for the missing star. But the food is nice and the atmosphere great.
Nearby activities: On the river nene so local boats and paddle borders/kayakers can dock near and walk in for a drink

Fantastic service, from start to finish nothing was to much trouble. They took out our old bathroom and re fitted everything, even changing positions of Basin and Shower, excellent levels of work, cant fault them in any way, would highly recommend.

I got gifted a one-night stay, 3-course dinner plus spa experience and thought it was excellent overall. The hotel itself is very luxurious, with open fires you can read your book by, a well kept garden with secret nooks to relax in, sumptuous rooms with soft bedding and a beautiful restaurant/bar area (the food was prepared to a very high standard, top-notch). The staff are very accommodating.
I was also lucky enough to have a massage (also excellent) and access to the pool/spa area, which was crowded but still very pleasant.
