Maureen (housekeeping), Rachel (waitress), and ALL of the staff members are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. I’m pleased to see that vegans & vegetarians are catered for too. We’ll be back!

Dad & Son Tuesday beer night visited The Woolpack Inn at Islip for the first time. These are my initial thoughts after one visit. We didn't eat. I say 'beer night' but we came looking for low-alcohol, in my case as the driver.
It's a nicely positioned pub on the corner, looking quite welcoming as you drive up and we'll presented. Plenty of parking, though much of it was taken when we arrived, I managed to fit in down near the pub. It's a decent, large dining pub inside, having a restaurant and bar area at first sight. Lots of picnic tables at the front seating outside. They had half a dozen tables outside taken on a warm night.
The range of non-alcoholic beers was OK, if not extensive. Service was a bit cursory when we arrived from the young woman serving but otherwise fair enough. The toilets were clean and in good repair.
We'll come back another time and I'll aim to pop in and try the food separately but you can check the menus in Google Maps and hopefully on the pub website. I can't comment on the rooms at all.

We went for the ExtrABBAganza they hosted on Friday 23rd.
It was disappointing. The band were good and played for 2 hours with a big break in the middle for staff to serve the main course.
When you buy an evenings entertainment you are entitled to be sorely disappointed when it finishes at 10pm. There was a disco provided after by the performs but I'm sorry to say was terrible. The person doing the disco, considering she is in entertainment, had no clue the music she was playing was too slow and too fast. And for an ABBA night why are you playing disco music from the last few year, know your audience.
The main course was bland and the pudding cake was dry

Lovely find on the way back home. Great quality local food and good value for money. My only criticism is that there isn't a disabled toilet and as a wheelchair user, that is pretty crucial.Service: 4/5 | Location: 4/5

A fantastic transformation of my very dated en-suite. Iain couldn’t have made the process any easier, from choosing the fixtures and fittings, taking care of skip hire, and communicating well along the way. Steve did a superb job and the work has been done to a superb standard (before and after photos below). I couldn’t be more pleased with it and would highly recommend RT&B!
