The restaurant provides an intimate atmosphere with its low oak beams, subdued lighting and pleasing decor, but at the same time can accommodate up to a hundred diners.
I still have a very battered and much used and loved book by one of the very first celebrity chefs Marguerite Patten. Its been in my life for so long and has pages that are still stuck together where maybe the ingredients didn’t quite make it to the bowl. As a child…. I used to love her cake recipes and can't remember now how many times the classic Victoria Sponge has been made.
I always love the feel and atmosphere of a great market - its a great way to find locally produced food and drink.
