Maybe I'm getting old and nostalgic, but I was pleased to hear that Dairy Crest in Stourbridge are breathing life back into that mainstay of British life, the milk round.
The new milk delivery service will cover our local towns of Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport on Severn, and further afield in the Black Country. As well as the morning pint, other groceries will be supplied.
Although traditional in it's ethos, the service is bang up to date, whereby orders can be placed online, up to 9pm the night before delivery.
Sounds like a great idea. Nothing more annoying than running out of life's essentials and having to drive, park, walk miles around a huge lifeless shop, and then queue up at one of the local supermarkets, just to buy bread and milk.
