A Norfolk resident recently found a business advertising heating oil online, to complete the order the site required that the oil was paid for by bank transfer. No heating oil has been received.
Trading Standards advises caution when ordering through websites where you are asked to pay in advance by bank transfer or by going into a bank branch and paying over the counter as you are unlikely to be able to get your money back if the site turns out to be a scam.
