How would you like to sleep rough, for one night, in winter...huh? Well, this is all in a good cause – supporting the YMCA London South West Sleepeasy January 2012 fundraising event.
So, what is this Sleepeasy event all about then? It’s an initiative managed, and run by YMCA London South West where they invite you to join them in being sponsored to sleep rough on the streets of Wimbledon on a cold, dark Saturday night at the end of January 2012. Sounds like fun yet?
But the thought to keep you all warm and fuzzy inside throughout the cold night is that what you would really be doing is raising money for work with homeless people in Merton.
After running a successful sleep-out event in Kingston for several of years, your local YMCA London South West is now organising a Sleepeasy Event in Wimbledon. Starting on Saturday 28th January 2012 in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church just off the Wimbledon Broadway, this sponsored event is expected to gather anything between 40 and 60 hardy and fun-loving people for a cold, but fun evening sleeping under the stars.
