This November, are you Sitting Pretty?

Here at Sitting Pretty Vintage Tea Room we are really excited to be working with The Best of Lancaster on the re-launch of the Tea Room in November.

The owner of Sitting Pretty, Vicky Winstanley has lived in Lancaster for around 10 years and classes the city as her home. 

Originally living in both Northants and Edinburgh with her parents, Vicky has dedicated Sitting Pretty to her late parents who used to run a successful soft furnishings business of the same name. 

Vicky is a blogger and food writer and is passionate about food and providing customers with a unique dining experience, she has used family recipes and knowledge from her parents when setting up Sitting Pretty,

Family is a very important thing to Vicky who is a Mum to Nathan who also goes to school in Galgate where the Tea Room is located.  Sitting Pretty is all about family values, it incorporates home cooking and baking along with the new design of the Tea Room which has been aimed at families, it even has its own children’s area too.

At Sitting Pretty Vintage Tea Room you will find something for everyone.  Our snug is a comfy, cosy room full of sumptuous sofas and armchairs for you to come and relax by the fire.  

Our dining area is for those who would prefer to have a sit down meal, enjoy the warmth of the fire and a newspaper whilst taking in the rest of the atmosphere  - it also has the best view of the cakes selection! 

Our family area is just what it says it is – an area for families to come and relax and children to play.

We are very proud to be part of the community in Galgate and be one of the businesses involved in the Galgate Fair Trade Village scheme.  You will be able to find a range of FairTrade beverages available and FairTrade ingredients are used in our baking products as well. 

Our gift shop which stocks an interesting variety of crafts, jewellery and gifts which are also all Fair Trade items.
