Southam based construction specialists the Alumet Group were successful at the MEBC (Midlands Environmental Business Club) Awards held at the Council House in Birmingham. MEBC is a best practice club with over 300 members that promotes the benefits of sustainable business practices.
Alumet collected the Low Carbon Business Growth award which recognised their successful environmental achievements over the past year. Alumet has successfully introduced a number of low carbon initiatives within their operations cumulating in the company achieving ISO14001. Their diversification into renewable technologies with the launch of the EOS Energy range of solar panels has also proven highly successful, generating sales in excess of £10m in the first year alone, allowing them to recruit an additional 30 members of staff.
