After raising £5000 for Myton Hospice in 2011, local specialist construction company Alumet have chosen the Make a Wish Foundation for their nominated charity year. The charity was selected following a vote by the company’s 120 staff.

The Make a Wish Foundation is a registered charity (no.295672/SC037479) that grants wishes for children and young people with life threatening illnesses.

Alumet's first fundraising event for the year took place at The Wharf Inn, Fenny Compton where catering company the Spice Traders provided a specially prepared fundraising meal for 11 of Alumet’s staff.

The Spice Traders generously provided 3 course meals for the group at cost with all profits going to the charity. Rob Totterdell, owner of the Spice Traders also gave an insightful presentation on the spices used in the dishes.

Nearly £100 was raised for Make a Wish and a good time was had by all. Alumet would like to thank the Spice Traders and the Wharf Inn for their generous hospitality.
