NEW LOOK LEICESTER PIZZAEXPRESS IS ON THE BALL …
Over the festive period PizzaExpress was celebrating the launch of its exciting new look restaurant in King Street, Leicester. The family friendly restaurant has been totally transformed and features artwork inspired by the city’s renowned architectural history and current sporting affiliations, including the famous football club.
Each PizzaExpress restaurant is individually designed – often using well known places, people or historical events from the area as a basis. Artwork at the Leicester restaurant combines photography of the city and contemporary illustrations inspired by Leicester City FC. Photographs include St Nicholas’s Church and the Jewry Wall, the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, and the Grecian revival style railway station.
All new decorations in warm colours enhance the customer dining experience at the restaurant, which has a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. There is new tiling to the bar areas, new gold and black pendant lighting, and new signage and awnings to the windows creating an eye-catching shopfront.
PizzaExpress has been dishing up fresh, handmade pizza to King Street, Leicester, since 1996. Manager, Chris Hercek, said, “We love our restaurant’s new look and have a friendly and enthusiastic team who are looking forward to welcoming everyone over a delicious pizza.”
The transformation came just in time for the new Christmas menu which we here at TheBestOfLeicester were invited to sample over the festive period and boy were we impressd. The dough balls were an absolute delight and the American Hottest (Pepperoni, hot green and Roquito peppers, fresh red chilli, spicy, hot, soft ’nduja sausage, tomato and buffalo mozzarella, finished with fresh parsley and chilli oil) made our taste buds tingle with pleasure. The images on the walls of Leicester and Leicestershire past and present really gave us the feeling we were in a truly local eaterie.
Good work Pizza Express!
