Where: National Space Centre
When: Saturday 11th July to Monday 31st August, 10:00am to 4:00pm
The National Space Centre have joined forces with LEGO ® CITY to take visitors on a mission to make movies, build space tools and to discover the wonders of living in space. Drop in throughout the summer and put your very special LEGO® Minifig characters through his paces.
Where: King Richard III: Dynasty, Death and Discovery
When: Daily, 2pm to 4pm
Children can learn the basics of archeology and uncover hidden artefacts in the mini archaeology dig pits. You might find belt buckles, coins or ring seals and, like all good archaeologists, you will need to record their finds to receive an award.
Where: Leicester Grammar School
When: Monday 27th July to Friday 7th August, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Activities will include film making, Street Dance, Musical Theatre and Prop making. Lots of activities will happen outdoors, if the weather is good.
Where: Belgrave Hall, Leicester
When: Wednesday 29th July, 11:00am until 4:00pm
Bring your favourite teddy down to the teddy bears picnic. Have your picture with the giant bear and join in with bear games, storytelling and crafts.
Where: Victoria Park
When: Saturday 1st August
A fabulous day out for the whole family. The carnival village will feature music, fun fair, food stalls, arts & crafts and children's village. Celebrations begin with the official opening ceremony on Victoria Park followed by the vibrant street carnival, featuring various troupes and floats displaying magnificent costumes which will travel into the city centre and back.
