One of our fellow residents updated us recently that she was the proud owner of a newly insulated loft Free of Charge, and no it isn’t a joke, and yes it is someone we know, so can tell you it is absolutely real!
This is a Government initiative that British Gas are involved in that allows some of us to get our lofts and walls insulated for free. See more here and they will book you in to see if you your home is suitable.
Eligibility is based on your home not your income, whether you own or rent and you don’t have to be a British Gas customer either. I think it makes sense for all of us to at least get British Gas to come round and see if you qualify.
