Free boxercise taster sessions are running at Beacon Park on Saturday 29 May and on Saturday 5 June at 11am and 1pm. The sessions are aimed at giving families the opportunity to take part in something together, encouraging all ages and abilities to give boxercise a go. There is no need to book – just turn up and take part.

Free soft archery is also on offer for beginners at Chase Terrace Park on Wednesday 2 June and at Beacon Park on Friday 4 June at 1pm and 2.15pm. The sessions are for young people aged between 7 and 14 and need to be pre-booked online.

Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet Member responsible for Leisure & Parks, said: “It is great to see the chance for people to have a go at something new in Burntwood and Lichfield this half-term. With our fantastic parks offering an outdoor Covid-secure space, this is a great way to have some fun.

“There is lots more on offer from our getin2it activities, so I would encourage everyone to go online and see what's available throughout the year."

All the usual Covid-secure safety measures will be in place.
