Very beautiful and stunning Cathedral with well maintain of the structures. Impress with the glass window looking from the inside… clean and friendly volunteer . Open to public with No entrance fee but by donation as they sure need money to maintain this beautiful place. *** sign did indicate that they need £5000 a day to main the place by opening it to the public ***

A visit to the beautiful Cathedral is such a must for me. Having used to live in the area many years ago, I return when I can. What I love about that part of the city is that it never changes and I think that is wonderful! The people of Lichfield and the surrounding area are so spoiled having this gorgeous historic building right on their doorstep. Look after what you have and treasure it totally.

Popped in to look at the stained glass windows. They were beautiful and worth going to to have a look at. I went to take a photo of the outside but it was ruined by a coffee horse box in front of the cathedral.

I'd seen pictures of the Cathedral in the past, but hadn't expected to find such a beautiful space when I finally got here. The west facade, a Victorian gothic revival addition apparently, is teaming with saints, figures from the bible, and kings. Inside, the space is beautifully lit by row after row of some of the most intricate and vibrant stained glass I've seen for a long time. The staff were very welcoming and happy to answer any queries. Plus there's informative though not overwhelming information points to summarise important periods or present helpful information. I ended up going back in several times to look at different parts.
