It's like stepping back in time. Serenity and space. Far from the madding crowd. Lovely and peaceful experience. I'd go again.

Lovely building and clearly well used by the community. Web site advertised tour cancelled due to a paid for your taking precedence so watch for that but a very helpful lady did give us a quick tour for which we were most grateful. Well worth a visit.

Definitely an awe-inspiring place to visit. The choir was practising at the time too. My small granddaughter asked why we had brought her into a palace!

Not a great fan of visiting holy places or ABC in tourist jargon but his cathedral had very friendly free guides happy to offer their time and knowledge. I love history and the cathedral has interesting links to the Zulu wars and Waterloo. We also found out about retired colours from Staffordshire regiments. Glad we popped in.

Lichfield Cathedral is a massive church completed in high Gothic style. Many of its statues have either survived or been replaced with the great west wall displaying the apostles...see if you know the symbolism of each. Of course there is the famous Angel to be seen as well. Inside is always busy both architectural and the life of the church. Well worth a visit.
