This is the second year we have been to the pantomime at the Garrick and as before we had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren I would highly recommend anyone to go and see this we have already booked for next year

A very accomplished performance in the cosy studio area. Very clever playing of several roles by each cast member was both humorous and well accomplished with minimal props and no scene changes.Would recommend to anyone

A friend and I went to see the matinee of Crimes Of The Christmas Pudding at the Garrick on 16 December 2018. I'd seen a play performed by New Old Friends before and they didn't disappoint: it was funny and entertaining. Just what the doctor ordered.

Visited the Garrick to see our very close friend dance in show, with nothing more in mind, however.

Although on the smaller side the theatre is well proportioned, with steep floors given excellent visibility for all, a bar and a cafe on site add to this tiny gem.

My days of Panto go from Danny La Rue, Des O'Connor and believe it or not Cliff Richard through to Pasquali and Barryman, unfortunately it came to an abrupt end with Julian Clary and his knife edge comedy at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Just when you think your days are done you get transformed into a child again with such a fantastic child based Panto Dick Whittington, kids bawled, screamed, boo'd and laughed for the whole two hours, what a magical experience and no one covering ears in site!

The theatre deserves as much support as possible and it's charity collections raised £11,000 last season.

Great show and day out!

Our annual trip at Christmas with our grown daughter to see the New Old Friends production and it did not disappoint, we were in stitches for most of the show. How do they write and perform so superbly? They must have incredible memories. We will definitely be at their next show at the Garrick. Thank you all. Sue B

Well what can i say about Dick Whittington panto other than what great fun we had. The cast were fab, and the costumes were great. The addition of the 3D was really good and the children all shouting and screaming "It's behind you" never tires. Billy and Bill's mum were so funny. I loved the sweet and ladder routine. Well done.

Took the family to see the dick whittington panto. Intimate venue, great show. The performances are excellent, especially sam rabone as the dame. Lots of visuals, great acting, hilarious skits. Wish we could go again!

What a fabulous and hilarious show. Performed in The Studio at The Garrick, this is one of the best plays we have been to in a long time. Four actors perform the play. One plays female Belgian detective (remind you of anyone?), whilst the other three play all the other roles. Chairs, stairs etc moved around for by the actors as they perform leading to many funny moments. The two actors who played the brother and sister had us in stitches with their routines and little waves to the audience. It was a little rude in places but everyone was laughing at the innuendos. It was perfect for the four actors to really 'ham' it up. We enjoyed it so much we left and immediately booked tickets for their next production in March in the main house. This would have been a great evening out for any 'works' outing...in fact we think their was one of nine or ten ladies in the row in front of us. Thank you to the superb actors who were quite happy to chat to people as they left the theatre. Highly, highly recommended!

My 3rd year in front row with my family at the best Panto in the UK! Been everywhere from Hippodrome to London theatres for Panto and nothing comes close! Best value for money & consistent every year. I guarantee you couldn’t find a funnier Panto. Can’t wait for next year.......

Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon Simon Reeve talk. It was still fascinating even when it ran over time by over an hour.
Theatre staff very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed the Theatre and the show as both were excellent. As a first time visitor the the Garrick it was perfect as not too big with a great view from our seats on the end of Row J. Two nice bar areas and plenty more seating/waiting areas pre show. The central location right next to a convenient multi storey car was helpful too.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience loved by our 8 and 2 year as the show was great.
Would recommend and look forward to returning soon hopefully.

I have attend this theatre for a number of years. Always enjoyed go to this theatre, it is stress free when it comes to where do I park my car because there is a council (I think) at the back of this theatre.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I visited the theatre last week, I saw Robin Windsor farewell tour which I thought was very good if you are a ballroom dance fan. Lots of laughter with tears. All the best Robin.

Venue great and very easy to walk to from the train station. The show was absolutely amazing. As soon as I got home last night I tried to log onto trip advisor to desperately tell you all about it but couldn't find how to, so I was pleased to get this notification today. Where do I start? So much talent, absolutely incredible energy, fantastic facial expressions which really drew you in and enjoyed it with them, choreography was great. Singers and violinist also amazing. A massive well done to you all Emerald Storm. Come back soon!!!

What a great show, frenetic physical comedy, collapsing sets, silly wigs - what more could you want from a night out?
We visit the Garrick a great deal these days, there's parking around the corner (free after 7 pm), places to eat nearby and a licensed bar. I'd recommend the ice cream too.

Lichfield Garrick is very easy to find, parking is close and free after 6.30pm , good selection of local bars & restaurants . 25% off at the one opposite i noticed last night . The Garricks Green Room gets very crowded , i dont think everyone realises there are another two bars available on higher floors.
Staff always helpful, smiling and polite .
Brian Blessed was amazing, jaw dropping, fascinating and 10000% worth every penny !!

Visited on Friday evening to see a play and visited the bar which was good - we got served quickly and were able to order drinks for the interval - the drinks were reasonably priced too. There was plenty of room to enjoy your drink in the upstairs bar.

This is a lovely little theatre, with really friendly, helpful staff. Play was a bit ‘meh’.
Some others have complained seats are a bit cramped. I was on the end of a row and I was still cramped.

Saw The Case of the Frightened Lady, great cast/show, the staff were very cheerful and helpful, the only complaint is the seats they are SO cramped and uncomfortable which is why I rated it 4.

An excellent show, brings back so many happy memories, have seen the shadows many times and this is the best tribute band, doing justice to their music. A great atmosphere and look forward to seeing them again next year.

Came to see The Case Of the Frightened Lady. Venue is really nice with multi storey car park right next door (free after 1830 hrs) and u can park all along the roads by theatre (again after 1830 hrs). Performance was great good cast! Quick access from Row H for a drink at interval! Website for seats is well laid out and easy to follow. A good nite had by all!

First night of two from this Shadows and Cliff tribute band. Their playing is excellent likewise the vocals and harmonies. All the big hits and many songs and tunes from their movies.
Great drummer establishes the sound, Hank makes hairs on you neck rise as it sounds so good. Brilliant evening in the 120 seater very intimate studio.

The garrick did well as the main hall was full at the same time yet we were all able to move around, buy a beer or ice cream and enjoy the night.
Nice touch was that the band were outside to shake our hands and chat as we left.

My favourite theatre for all productions. Four family members went to see Jasper Carrott there in April. What a super show and a feather in the cap for the Garrick which continues to attract top acts and productions. The staff are polite and helpful and the general ambience makes for a special evening.
