First time I have used this auction house. I sell & purchase from around 30 plus auction rooms from around the country. Brilliant. Excellent service. Staff very courteous & helpful. Picked up items by arrangement - all went to plan. Of particular merit are the excellent descriptions & condition reports they give for each item. This really helps when using on-line bidding at auctions. I can appreciate the extra work this must entail - but I commend highly the practice. The descriptions were spot on. My thanks to all at the Auction House for making the purchasing of some wonderful items a real pleasure.

I bought a splendid glazed bookcase from them and, despite the size, they managed to ship the item to Rome, Italy, without a scratch!

Never bought at this auction house before. Found the whole experience efficient and thorough. After payment goods arrived very well packaged and punctually. There was an issue with a certificate of authenticity. I contacted the auction house and they sent it out immediately. Overall, I would recommend the quality of goods and the professionalism of the office staff, well done, would definitely use again

We arranged for Richard Winterton auction to collect furniture from our late mother’s home. The team that arrived were very considerate and helpful, one of the team went through books to identify those that could be sold. They took photos of all items taken and The items left were neatly stacked for the charity shops. What I thought was going to be a difficult day was made much easier.

We have always found Richard Winterton auctioneers are great team of people. We would also want to say a big thank you to everyone today collected our items this morning and as usual all the staff were so helpful and loading was done in such a cheerful way it was a delight. Wintertime Auction house has always conducted their business in a professional manner. I write as the partner of a returning customer.
Here's a typical instance, relatively recently my wife showed interest in a Gucci watch catalogued as ' not working', she spoke to the desk staff who called the owners son who works with clocks and, in particular, watches. He actually took the back off the watch, checked the movement and told her it was fine and functional but needing a replacement battery.
The battery has now been replaced and the watch can often be seen on my wife's wrist because it's hers.
