Lovely cottage away from it all. Ideal for 2 adults but a small single bed available for a child. Very quiet location but also close to Rugeley, Stoke and Lichfield.

The site is vast, but we were able to find the memorials we were looking for very easily by checking the locator screens in the main building. There are also plenty of knowledgeable volunteers all over the site who can help guide you to the exact spot if you get a bit lost. The cafe and shop are reasonably priced, with a good selection of stock.
Everyone at the Arboretum was very friendly and you could see that they really enjoyed being there. All in all, a very rewarding experience and it was good to see so many people there.

Not what we expected. I understand now having visited that its a war graves memorial with trees rather than an arboretum. It's incredibly well done and moving. I recommend seeing the video in the gallery before walking around.
It will be a good arboretum in its own right when trees grow up in 10 years or so. Everyone involved in this should be incredibly proud. Thanks aswell to the lovely volunteers.

Beautiful- a word that you wouldn't expect to use but that is the one that popped into my head as soon as I walked in. Its been done so respectively and with grace to those that have been lost . Everyone should visit if they are in that area.

Our annual visit to the site to take a poppy cross to remember my father who was a prisoner of war in Japan. The whole experience is humbling and I was pleased to see that the Far East building has had a makeover. From reception to the restaurant and on site the staff are exceptional in their attitude to to the visitor, very helpful friendly and eager to help. You can’t find fault with anything. The restaurant provides an excellent array of different food and is of a very high standard at a reasonable price, the staff very knowledgable about food tolerance and allergies. There are some negative reviews but people must remember that because they are disabled and think they should have more consideration they should remember that it attracts more elderly visitors and disabled than most attractions and so they have limited facilities to accommodate all needs, all of the time; they need to remember that they are not the only ones disabled. It is a wonderful place where it gives people a chance to visit somewhere to acknowledge their loss. I think you will have a wonderful visit if you decide to go, take no notice of negative feedback.
