A beautiful place to visit. Lots of walking to be done. Free entry and £4 parking. We'll worth a visit. Went with children age 9 and 11 and they enjoyed and understood what it was about.

A place to remember and think about all those who have given their lives for our country during conflicts at home and abroad. Some quite moving monuments and words which express volumes. A large remembrance site so we'll manicured and well kept. Cafe restaurant on site. Free entry, donations accepted.
Long walk around the whole site which is all flat but there is a land train with commentary if you don't/can't walk that far.

I've been going to the Arboretum every year since I first discovered it about five years ago. It's so peaceful and relaxing to stroll around on a sunny day. There's always something new to discover as the site is so big. It's not really for children unless they are at an age to appreciate the memorials, or just enjoy a long pleasant walk. The latest renovations are now finished and the cafe is now significantly larger. If you want to park in the main car park, prebooking is recommended, even on weekdays

All at the same time this is a heartbreaking and breathtaking place to visit. So well laid out. The volunteers are invaluable with all the help and knowledge they share, especially Paul (Virgo) is a font of information. Thank you for such a memorable day.
