A wonderful remembrance garden, with plenty of memorials and sculptures , the grounds are immaculately kept, there are plenty of seats about for quiet reflection or just to rest and enjoy the quietness. It’s an amazing place that really is thought provoking and you come away very humbled by the tremendous sacrifices made by so many ‘000s of people, the world over. We listened to a talk on the Japanese prisoners of war conducted by Paul, it was so interesting, and included a small tour of the grounds.
It’s just £6 to park all day and RBL ask for any donation, large or small to help with the upkeep. There is a great cafe & restaurant that is very reasonably priced to help support. The gift shop offers a variety of items with plenty of choice.
I don’t think a day is long enough to do the whole site justice, and I shall certainly return.

A beautiful and well-kept memorial park honouring the armed forces, police, RNLI, and many others serving their country in times of conflict. The staff are from various backgrounds and are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A full day is needed to see it all. One of the Midlands best kept secrets that everyone should know about.

Playground: There is a play area part way round, near the river, which again is itself a memorial area.

Restrooms: Toilets are near the entrance and are very clean and modern.

Fantastic place to come. We came as a quick stop on our way south to see the stickman trail with our toddler. The whole site is very well kept, free to enter (parking is payable) and you could easily spend hours visiting all the memorials and paths throughout the site.

Highly recommended

Great day out, peaceful with lots of memorials & memories about our fallen heroes. Massive grounds beside the river so fantastic for a walk on a sunny day. Lots of benches to take a rest all around the memorials.
Good cafe with hot food & coffee & cake shop too.Train runs around the whole site & has audio to explain each memorial. Train tour is 45 minutes. Tip book parking online & save .£6 parking fee if not pre booked. Train tour is £7 50 per adult. Great place to remember the sacrifices our armed forces made & still to this day !

Having been left behind by our local coach company (Applegates) on the 30th June, driver error. We decided to visit on our return from a long weekend away in Yorkshire with family. What a beautiful place this is, as an veteran Parachute Regiment soldier I was keen to see the Parachute Regiment memorial, and what a stunning work it is, felt quite emotional.

Spotted a sign en route to elsewhere, lovely surprise. A huge park with hundreds of memorial tributes. Unexpectedly moving, we wished we’d allowed more time.

Beware of the extra £2 if you don't book ahead. Although advertising says it's free, they charge for parking. That said, it's an amazing place, very moving, especially the Shot at Dawn Memorial.

Attended on a school trip, Teaching Remembrance. A stunning day, the children will have taken away so much, as will the staff. Beautiful memorials with so much thought put in. Everyone should go to pay their respects.
