Well designed layout, with separate areas for the various armed forces and other organisation (police, nurses, etc), so each had its own area. Make sure you visit the circular raised area, which lists all of those who have lost their life since the 2nd world war. Another stunning area is called "shot at dawn", memorial to those soldiers who were killed during WW1, because they were shell-shocked, and branded as cowards. Everyone should visit this place. Highly recommended.

Amazing memorial to so many who gave their lives for our freedom. Friendly and helpful staff guide you through the different memorials and help you with anything you need.

Superbly organised, COVID-19 secure and clear, very helpful and pleasant staff on hand to help.
A place I will visit again. Highly recommended and it should be one of the places EVERYONE should visit to remind ourselves just how much we owe to so many for giving the ultimate sacrifice.

We have visited before the lockdown, we loved the experience. We visited today with some friends who have not before. The experience is still remarkable, and our friends loved it. The biosafety is good and unobtrusive, the site has grown, but it is still so welcoming and happy, the staff are a joy.

Had a fab time here as it's a beautiful place with lots of memorials to view and sit by. Booking online was easy but knocking a star off because the canteen was poorly organised and there was no cutlery for eating our sticky cakes.

Even in the pouring rain, this is a great place. So much space, the chance to pause and reflect. Plenty of covid-19 guidance for the inside areas. Free entry, but car parking is £4 for all day and currently must be prebooked.

A thought provoking and memorable day out. The wild life on the river bank was abundant and I spent a fair amount of time looking for the otters that had left many a 'present' on the bank. The staff were great and the sandwiches were also worth visiting for.

This is my second visit, the last one being about 6 years ago. There have been some positive changes to the welcome building, but the memorial gardens were just as I remember. Beautifully laid out and maintained with good signage and plenty of benches throughout the site. On this occasion I brought my 89 year old mother for her first visit. Disappointingly, the motorised scooters that would have enabled her to move freely around the park were not in use. I found this strange considering the land train was available for use . My mother thoroughly enjoyed her visit but found it a struggle to see much of the arboretum on foot. She was not keen on using the land train as she felt that it would not allow her to see the grounds in detail.

Absolutely lovely place to wander around, we were there from 11am to 4pm and still didn't manage to get around it all. The staff also managed social distancing very well. Turn up for the books is they had a bbq on as the weather was nice 👌. Highly recommended place to go, not so much for kids to do unless they are interested in what everything there is about.
