Beautiful memorial park. Worth taking the land train around the site before you start walking around, the guide book is a quality buy too. Accessible and lovely to walk around. Would allow a whole day to explore properly, would take a picnic as the cafe could work out pretty expensive.

A place where you can go pay your respects to those that have fallen in the line of duty since the 2nd World War. The first Sat in Oct, every year a pilgimage is made every year by thousands of bikers, mostly ex-military from all over the UK and pasrts of Europe. The day si named Ride to the Wall (RRTW) and there can be thousands of bikes there. Avery emotional, sad but happy experience.

This place is worth a visit for those who haven't been, have you walking shoes on as the Arboretum is spread over a vast area, you can get a land train tour which give you a talk about each memorial that you pass, all the details about why the memorial is there, there are plots there for the unexpected, it is not just for the forces, after hours of walking, there is a fabulous restaurant for lunch or just a snack, enjoy it's well worth it

When my neighbour & I visited. the local river had burst its Banks and flooded the grounds. Lots to see & to think about. Great shame of all those brave people who lost their lives in pointless wars?. A must visit for everyone & please make a donation. I also recommend the excellent restaurant.
