It's not called the National Memorial Arboretum for nothing. There is a lot to see here. The volunteers are helpful and well informed. Even if you don't attend one of the scheduled talks (do though, if you can) it's well worth talking to the volunteer guides who are more than willing to tell you more about any aspect of the site.

All day certainly isn't enough to take it all in but we did attend the remembrance in the chapel at 11am, saw the two flypasts and took in the new field of remembrance following the service of dedication which took place this morning.

I've been to the NMA on numerous occasions in the past, but this was my first time attending Ride to the Wall (RTTW). I am a member of the Stafford Military Wives Choir and had the absolute privilege and pleasure of being a part of this performing in Heroes Square. So many people, so many bikes and so many special memories in one incredible place. The actual service on the steps is both heartbreaking and breathtaking at the same time. Please visit just once to pay your respects and to soak in the atmosphere of this wonderful place

So much to see here. The scenery is stunning and the exhibits are humbling. It is so worth a visit - summer or winter it's fantastic. We'll definitely visit again. There are also events scheduled (remembrance and Christmas at the moment). Having family members serving and retired members of the armed forces I love this place.

What an amazing yet moving place. We called here on the way home from a short break in Stafford. I found several memorials to my father's Polish Army which was interesting. The Shot at Dawn memorial was very poignant as some of those shot were only children, not that anyone should have been shot anyway. Lots of memorials to see although it was rather soggy walking to some of them due to the recent floods. There is a land train for the less able, although £7.50 is a little steep if you have a family, but then again admission to the Arboretum is free. There is a cafe selling great food, reasonably priced. You do need a full day to see everything

The National Arboretum is a beautiful memorial to all who gave their lives in conflict. You feel a real sense of calm here, and it allows people to be educated and pay their respects in a wonderfully kept space. I will definitely return.

Unfortunately the earlier storm had caused parts to be flooded, but I was not planning a long stay, as I called in on my journey home from Yorkshire.
Beautifully and respectfully laid out.
I found the main section particularly moving, especially the break in the walls to allow the shaft of sunlight to shine through on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
I had a brilliant lunch there as well to fuel me up for the second half of my journey home. Delicious food and great value.
I will return, hopefully in better weather conditions to spend more time exploring and reflecting.
I highly recommend a visit
