My visit was in respect of past and present conflicts of war, the Memorial also pays respect to modern day conflicts and disasters. As well there are tributes to other services in our country.

We visited the NMA in support of the RTTW 2019, this is an amazing sight to see of all the riders who ride to the wall to show their respect and to attend the remembrance service in honour of the men and women who have given their lives in the service of this country since the end of WW11 and whose names are engraved on the wall of Armed Forces Memorial.

We attended with our two dogs. Found it a very moving place and plenty of ground to cover. The area allows you to take dogs and stick on the main track which I think is more than fair. To get closer to some of the monuments we’d take it in turn waiting with the dogs. The cafe was dog friendly so we found the day a worthwhile visit. A fitting tribute to so many.

It was an excellent overview of Sir Percy Hobart. Having some previous knowledge of the subject it gave a concise picture of the man and the journey he travelled to achieve what he did.
I've attended previous talks and I thought Mr. Horgan did a great job of interacting and answering questions from the attendees.
I've just seen a previous review in respect of the background noise. I couldn't disagree more. It's great to see families of all ages attend.
I was sitting at the back and had no issues.
Patience is a virtue.

The National Memorial Arboretum is a beautiful, spiritual, poignant, moving, peaceful and inspirational place for remembrance, reflection, gratitude and love. This was a very special day remembering and honouring all those members of the armed forces and auxiliary services who lost their lives protecting our country and our freedom - an unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever.

Acres of stunning gardens and beautiful tree, amazing memorials to all the forces and the civilians who lost their lives for this country during wars all over the world. A humbling history lesson from which sadly we never learn.
The train ride round the arboretum first is a good idea to get your bearings and our driver/guide was very informative. We then walked round most of it taking time to read the memorials - both the large ones and the individual, personal ones by most of the trees.
We visited the Basra Wall where sadly many of my son's friends were named - killed along side him when he served there twice during the war.
The museum is incredible and the restaurants, shop, facilities and activities for children are very good.
Well worth a visit from wherever you live especially if you stay in the lovely city of Lichfield nearby. We drove up from Bournemouth and made a weekend of it as there is so much to see and do in the area.

I’ve visited the NMA scores of times and I always learn something new. Recently I went on the very informative Far East walking tour round the relevant memorials.
This visit I learnt about the fighting in WWll round Kohima Imphal. I would strongly recommend visiting the NMA and also checking the daily walks and talks with the excellent guides. Thank you to the many volunteers.

Pay £3 to park. Free to enter but please donate. Restaurant and coffee shop good value. There are hard paths round the memorials but I often want to walk on the grass to see a particular one. It’s low lying and gets very wet after heavy rain. I wear waterproof walking boots.

Five hours flew by and we didn’t see everything on this 150 acre site. Stunning memorials and not all relating to the military but to many other organisations and individuals. We joined in with the short service of remembrance, which happens every day around 11am, followed by an informative talk about the Aboretum. There are inside exhibits and the one about the role of tattooing in the military was particularly interesting. There’s a great restaurant and a smaller coffee shop to be enjoyed.
Mobility vehicles and a train ride are available, as it’s a large site. The actual armed forces memorial in the centre is impressive with some amazing statues. All staff are friendly and informative, mostly volunteers and so knowledgeable.
Everyone should go and be moved by Remembrance.

This is a very worthwhile place to visit. Large area, well laid out and an excellent tribute to those who have served and saved our country . Cost of entry is £3 per car for parking and this allows entry to the many acres of well kept gardens and memorials. There is a good cafe , large restaurant and outside sitting areas. Regular trips around the grounds in a small train or large golf type buggy are available at a fee and are good value. The chapel and galleries are well worth visiting . This is a beautiful calm relaxing quiet place,

Well worth a visit, £3 charge for the car park but free to go in, reasonable priced café, we spent 4 hours there including a ride on the land train which takes around 45 minutes and costs £6 per adult, lots of varieties of trees and plants to see too

My first visit and what a place! I was there for a memorial service and parade, the final one of the Suez Veterans’ Association. However the whole arboretum is massive and it would take at least a couple of days to walk round every part. However there are buggies that can take you round, and a land train that does a circular tour with a narrative that one can actually hear! The facilities in the main building are as one would expect, with a very large cafeteria, galaxies which house displays (at the moment of tattoos in the military), and the inevitable gift shop. Prices are not cheap but keep in mind that entry is free so by buying services or goods you are contributing to the upkeep of the arboretum.

Well worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this truly inspiring area.full of fabulously designed memorials which bring a lump to the throat. The entire place is beautiful and was full of families with their children and dogs picnicking in the grounds and the restaurant was also very busy. Thoroughly recommend several visits here to see the beautiful trees in various stages.

Spent the day here yesterday volunteering doing some gardening work with colleagues. Had a fantastic day, didn't even realise this place existed. Tom the gardener couldn't have been more helpful, polite and knowledgeable about this place and he has every right to be proud of what they do. They welcome dogs so I will definitely be going back with family to show them how amazing this place is.

Visited on one of our rainy days again and to hide from the rain ducked in to the chapel for a talk on Percy Hobart.

Not normally my cup of tea but.......
I found the talk fun and informative, loved the speaker dressing for the talk. Plenty
of visuals from film clips to extracts read from diaries.
And fancy Churchill dragging him back from the Home Guard.

Will definitely keep an eye out for talks in the future.

I learned a lot.

We spent a day in this wonderful place. The highlight of the day was the service in the chapel to celebrate the 11 o'clock memorial. If you are available you should go- it was really outstanding.

During the course of the day we also used the land- train to go around this helped to fix our minds on where various parts of the Arboretum are fixed. It had a realy good audio as you are going around and you can learn so much. I have to say it is more of an adult thing- very young children find it a long activity.

The views are outstanding from all round the arboretum. On the day of our visit there was a craft fair as well. What a day.

So when you have enjoyed yourself you need food- we can recommend the restaurant too. Yes it gets very busy at the usual times- we went in just before the rush started and had a great time. Their pick and mix salad is very good value for money.

All round and excellent day

We had a guided tour in a golf buggy, as there would otherwise have been too much walking for us. This is a fascinating place, with too much to see in only one visit. We were lucky to have timed our visit to be able to attend the brief remembrance service which takes place every day of the year at 11.a.m. Most moving - the last post and then the reveille. We shall return.

Much bigger than I expected but so well organised by staff and volunteers. Many areas were flooded due to very heavy rainfall over the week but the site is so well planned it was just a little tricky in places and most Memorials could be viewed. The train is worth the whole journey giving you a great overview. The main Memorial was very poignant and so well explained by the volunteers who must have been chilled to the bone!!

We weren't intending on visiting, but we'd travelled in the area the previous day and saw the crowds of bikers involved in the Ride To The Wall, and so we felt we ought to go and visit. So, it is really thought provoking and poignant to see all the trees and memorials and puts the loss and sacrifice into context. The central memorial was very touching. The statues were beautiful. We don't have a direct connection to anyone killed in action, but we can appreciate how much that remembrance would mean to the families of service people who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

We really enjoyed our tour, well worth doing, our guide Keith was brilliant and what made it for us was his passion for D-Day. Very knowledgable and if there was any questions relating to D-Day or the Arboretum he answered them.
The National Arboretum is well worth visiting and try the restaurant food was very good.
Thank you from Nigel, Michelle, Mandy and Graeme.
