Peaceful place. I did think though that such things as a train that goes around the memorial (for which there is a charge) reduced the reverence such a place deserves. Exceptionally friendly and helpful volunteers and staff.

A very sombre thought provoking place.

The Arboretum is not free but for a very small contribution to the up-keep you could spend all day at the venue.

There are sections within the grounds for all the various corps. and forces who have ever lost personnel.

The most thought provoking is the wall with all those that have fallen during a conflict. It has a gap down the middle so the sun shines through it on a certain time of year.

Well worth a visit.

Impressive monumental tributes to the Fallen in two world wars. There are lots of trees and shrubs and it is very decorative but the word Arboretum is misleading.

An extremely beautiful and moving place. Excellent for a day out, or even over multiple days. I would suggest starting with the primary memorial in the middle of the site.
