Loved the grounds, it is massive. It was very good going round listen to what was said about all the different regiments

Quite a moving place certainly with the centenary coming up. The memorials to all the different regiments and other nations and groups that have died in not just the two world wars but in service to their country.

Good place for a walk and to look at the memorials. Also great for kids, with two playgrounds and excellent café and restaurant. Free to enter and reasonable parking fee. It's worth keeping an eye out for drive-it-day, in April, where hundreds of classic cars are displayed in the arboretum (no additional charge).

A lovely place to visit and free but donations are welcome. There are plenty of places to sit and reflect and plenty of paths to walk suitable for prams and wheelchair or there is a land train you can catch but you have to pay for the train, we opted to walk because you can take your time and get up close to the monuments. There were some surprises like the Showmen Guild and the railway industry memorial which was nice to see. There is a great café and a shop.
