This is a wonderful place to visit for anyone who wishes to show respect for those who have died protecting our freedom and way of life. It has facilities for all ages and abilities. I had some difficulty finding it but that may say more about me than the local directions. Once inside I also had some difficulty finding monuments from the signposts again it might just be me having senior moments. Definitely worth a visit.

Took elderly mother and partially sighted aunt. Land train was useful, too much to see in a day. Cafe very good and reasonable price. Would recommend and will return. No admittance charge just voluntary contributions, £3 car parking which is for all day.

We called here as part of a coach holiday and were very impressed, there were lots of cars parked but it was still peaceful and not crowded once inside. We didn't get chance to use the train or cafe. The small chapel was lovely, I loved the carvings. I'd like to come again, and if we lived nearer I'm sure I would be a regular visitor. Lovely helpful staff too.

Pretty amazing site / sight. A spitfire! RAF and WWI Army displays. So peaceful maybe prayerful / place to reflect. We loved flag making...thank you. So many reminders of those who died so we can live! Cafe looked lovely but we took a picnic. 4/5 stars because pricing information isn't clear. £3 to park, absolutely fine. Suggested donation £5ea no problem. £15 for 3 of us on the land train, i feel should have been detailed in reception. We hadn't planned for £28.

More memorial theme park than arboretum so not really for botanists!

Great atmosphere, interesting monuments. Enthusiastic volunteers but the cafe is a rip off. Two coffees cost over £5.00!

Very disappointed with this visit to a 'free' attraction. Firstly there is a £3 charge to park your car. Secondly the first thing you see on entering the visitor centre is a suggested donation of £5 each. You'd have to have a lot of brass neck to ignore the smiling assistant. Thirdly, the land train costs £6 each. The ' free' entry has so far cost us £25. No leaflet showing the layout of the arboretum was given out....you had to pay another £3 for that! Ihave no objection to paying for entry, but don't try to make out that it will be free.
I was disappointed in the arboretum as well. Hopefully it will improve as trees mature. Memorials were often just seemingly plonked blobs of stone with no thought given to the setting. Trees had no indication of which type ( and this is an arboretum!). I also wondered what was the purpose of the arboretum? I assumed military or uniformed connections, but there was a garden for SANDs which seemed out of kilter with the rest of the memorial. I had so looked forward to seeing this national memorial arboretum but came away very disappointed. This review is no reflection on the hard working volunteers, but on the whole concept and implementation.

lovely reflective gardens and memorials. Spent a number of hours here and only scratched the surface. Need to come back and do the other part of the site.

I found the land train quite appalling. It was far too crushed and the only seats we could find were backward facing and by the time we were level with the object of interest it was lost behind us. My neck was quite tender by the end of the trip from constantly trying to see the memorial being pointed out. Definitely won't use that again.
