Lovely place set out over a large area. Lots and lots of tributes and memorials to people who have fought around the world. Very moving . £3 to park all day. Lots of places to stop and sit as you walked round. Could easily spend half a day or more there depending on how much detail you want to go into. Cafe looked nice although seemed pricey so went into Lichfield instead.

My husband and I had been meaning to visit here for some time...we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were met with friendly and helpful people. Greeted at the door by David a friendly man who pointed us in the right direction and gave us an overview of the site. At the pay desk (it is free entry) the lady told us the options open to us. We chose a buggy tour at £5.00 each. Audio guides are also available. The buggy was wonderful. Blankets were made available for us on a crisp February day, and our guide Ian was able to answer all our questions and pointed out lots of the monuments and memorials. The tour lasted 50 mins and was well worth it. After the tour we had a drink in the lovely spacious and airy restaurant before having our own little wander around. We then headed to the central monument and was again met with a friendly informative volunteer who walked us around and told us everything we needed to know. ( sorry we don't know his name but does 2 days a week and lives in Solihull)
Everyone should visit this at some time in their life. We plan to return in the late spring when the flowers will be out and there will be an abundance of flowers and colour.
A must visit for all.

What a wonderful tribute to the men and women from around the world who have fought for the rights of the people. A tribute to the survivors and fitting memorial to those who never came home.
We took a guided tour (ride) around, which barely scratched the service. The memorials are incredible - they are sensitive and respectful and very thought provoking.
Beautifully laid out, and thought has gone into the plantings versus the memorials/countries which was a special touch.
A lovely gift shop - quality merchandise, somewhere to get that special sourvineer that has a lot of meaning.
Totally recommend a visit, allow at least half a day.

Free entry with a recommended £5 donation but no pressure to pay it.
£3 parking all day
Marvellous place to visit that improves constantly.
Volunteer staff cannot do enough for you.
The only moan would be that they need to sort out the drainage in areas.

The National Arboretum is very easy to find with £3 parking all day ,with free entry but of course nearly everyone makes a donation.

Incredible and beautiful tributes to the fallen who defended and fought for there countries with honour.Beautiful memorials and fantastic grounds .

You could spend a day here, and an auditory option is avaiable to you ,as is a small train thsts stops at certain points and a talk given.

Easy for the disabled to get around and this area is thought out well ,with electric wheelchairs made available.

Lovely café which does hot mesls, teas and cakes...although to be fair on the pricey side...but it all goes to the Arboretum.

It realy is a wonderful place to visit...emotional and moving.

Last there in December this place is a regular visit for me, a moving a fitting tribute to many organisations who have lost people in the cause of their duty. Brilliant memorials often very well thought out using materials from all over the world, the restaurant is light airy and large serving good quality food and coffee. The gift shop shouldn't be called a gift shop, its not full of your average plastic memorabilia, the the items are very high quality and it makes an excellent place to shop for Birthday or Christmas gifts. The site is a must visit for everyone. There is no entrance fee but all you spend goes to the upkeep

We visited the NMA with friends and found it a moving and sobering experience. The beautiful and haunting setting promotes contemplation of the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms and rights.

What an inspiring place to visit and reflect. Beautifully laid out, with more still to do. Not a fan of pre-stressed concrete for the public buildings, but that is a personal thing. A truly wonderful place, with the most helpful staff ever.

Visited with some friends from America. Plenty of tears shed by all. Our friends loved the feeling of peace and tranquility even though it was busy

I would highly recommend a visit here. There are 350 memorials over 150 acres, beautifully laid out and maintained, and friendly staff who are keen to help.

It could have been better. I am an electric wheelchair user, not a buggy and the main car park was showing full. We were directed to the overflow parking via signage. This car park is gravel based and it quickly started to drain my battery coping with it. When we eventually reached the main car park, we found many dozens of empty spaces and a set down area which we could have used. Not a great start to a day out.
If you have a gluten free dietary requirement, you'll feel like you're in 7th heaven with lots to choose from. Sandwiches, main meals and wonderful cakes !
The men's toilets are poorly sign posted in the main building, as when you stand in front of the signage, the men's are then behind you. Consequently many men were using the disabled toilets in desperation. Not ideal for waiting wheelchair users.

I believe that most people will get tearful and emotional at the latest wall sadly waiting for new engravings.

Very humbling but highly educational place to visit. The site is fantastic with all Arms and Services remembered with their own memorials. The grounds are immaculate and staff very willing to offer advice. The restaurant was very good and extremely reasonable priced with 2 main meals for £13. There is also transport buggys onsite for those with walking difficulties. A great tribute to the brave and fallen. A must visit!

This is the latest of a few visits to the Arboretum and still impressed. It is a beautiful site even on a cold day. Very moving to walk round and thought provoking . Hadn't seen the shot at dawn statue before and that was very touching. And then when you are cold and in need of sustenance the café really delivers. Whether its cake and tea or a meal you have a great choice of fresh food. Staff all very helpful and interested in being there.

Went there with my father-in-law, mother-in-law and my wife. It's one of the places I've always wanted to go to. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but booked the 4 hour personal buggy guided tour and 2 course lunch.
The day started by being introduced to our volunteer guide Peter. He asked what we were interested in which we informed him. We then watched to 2 minutes silence in the chapel. Once this was done we were taken to the sites we wanted to visit. All were explained in great detail by Peter.
After this we went to lunch and were seated at a table, nicely dressed with cutlery and table cloth as well as a printed menu with our name on.
The food was excellent. Not the cafe quality I expected but any restaurant would have been happy to serve it. Our waitress was most attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
After lunch we continued with our guided tour. Being in a buggy we could get to places others couldn't or didn't know about.
We were told some lovely anecdotes by Peter.
We all really enjoyed the day and will love to return to see more. 4 hours was not enough.
Whilst going around the Arboretum we could hear several tributes going on with various military groups and veterans groups joining to pay their tributes.
Everyone was so friendly.
The volunteers were great and the company had thought of everything ensuring that everyone can get around.
We offered Peter a tip at the conclusion of our tour whichbbe refused as he wanted it to go to help the running costs of the Arboretum.
Fantastic day.

A special atmosphere especially in the centre of the grounds along with the many, many different groups of people who have sacrificed their lives over the years from different walks of life. Well worth a visit

We live locally so visit occasionally. There is is usually a different exhibition in the main hall. We have seen this develop over the years and now many memorials to all who served in many conflicts and also memories for children including for those who were born asleep.
Well worth a visit, uplifting, welcoming and memorable.

Visited for the afternoon with a 6 year old, even on a wet and windy January afternoon the place is beautiful. All the memorials are placed perfectly around the grounds, it’s a huge area but doesn’t feel like it as there’s so much to stop and explore. There’s even a small park to give kids a little break. The food in cafe was done well and priced ok. Entry is free with contribution box’s dotted around, all day parking was £3. 100% be visiting again.

What an amazing place which is still being developed. Stunning memorials in landscaped gardens. Give yourself plenty of time to stroll around and soak up the atmosphere and information. Lots of knowledgeable volunteers around to give advice and short talks about different aspects of the memorials.
Visitors centre has a smart café, shop and hosts special exhibitions. Access to the gardens are free but donations are welcomed. There is a charge for the special events

For those who might find the amount of walking difficult there is a land train that visits most of the key memorials. Most areas of the garden are accessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
