Raising money for Children in Need
Kind Edward VI Leisure Centre raises money for this year’s Children in Need On Friday 18 November 2011, Leisure Services Duty Officer, Scott Tennant, took part in a sponsored chest wax to raise money for Children in Need.
As well as the sponsored chest wax, staff at King Edward VI Leisure Centre sold cakes and sweet things to raise even more money for the 2011 appeal. In all, the team raised £290, which has gone towards helping disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
Phil Kelly, Manager of King Edward VI Leisure Centre, said: “I’m really proud of everyone who got involved and helped to raise money for this valuable charity. Thank you to everyone who donated on the day and to Scott for being such a good sport!”
