A little taste of regency life comes to Lichfield

On Sunday 20th September the Staffordshire Regiment Museum will be offering a little taste of Regency life complete with elegant dancers and red-coat soldiers.

In addition, the Harvington Household dancers will be entertaining visitors with the kind of Regency dances that would have been known to Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy. Why not go along and learn these elegant dances.

Chat to their early 1800s British soldier, and explore what life was like during the Napoleonic wars, or meet a Regency Insurance Company fireman and his wife.

There’ll also be a circus skills display and a Regency themed children’s art activity.

Carrying on the theme, the Museum is delighted to announce the opening of a spectacular display of Napoleonic figures, exquisitely made by French craftsmen. These figures are enormously rare and show breath-taking attention to detail.

Fancy a bit of shopping? There’s antiques and curious for sale plus a perennially popular pop-up tea room.

They will also be welcoming militaria stalls (if you have a military or Regency themed stall or activity that you’d like to bring along, please get in touch with the Museum direct).

Tickets are £4 for adults, £3 for concessions and £10 for a family ticket and include access to the entire Museum including the WW1 trench system.

Doors open at 11am and the event closes at 4pm.
