'Art in the Tent' at Beacon Park
Celia Houghton, Lichfield District Council’s Arts Development Officer, said: “The marquee will feature artwork from local artists that will be on sale to festival goers, and we now need artists to reserve the space for their work. They can do this by filling in a simple entry form available from the council’s website.
“Last year’s Fuse festival attracted more than 18,000 visitors, so it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your art to thousands of people and potential customers.”
Fuse is taking place this year from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July in Beacon Park. Art in the Tent will be open from 12noon to 7pm on Saturday 7 July and from 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday 8 July.
“We’re also looking for volunteers to help us with the exhibition and artists to hold demonstrations. Please contact me if you are interested in getting involved,” added Celia.
To enter your artwork into Art in the Tent, please visit www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/art and download and return the entry form.
There is limited exhibition space in the marquee, which is allocated on a first come first served basis. The closing date to submit entry forms is 29 June 2012.
