The popular BBC antiques programme will be with Richard Winterton Auctioneers at The Lichfield Auction Centre on Tuesday, October 11.
Auctioneer Richard Winterton will be yielding the gavel on the day and is inviting people to come along to the saleroom and watch the auction action.
“We’re delighted to be hosting Bargain Hunt at once again and it’s going to be a real cracker – a Christmas cracker,” he said.
“The crew will be filming for four programmes and two of these will be Christmas episodes.
“Not only are people warmly invited to come and watch the auction, we’re also encouraging everyone to dress up as festively as possible.
“However, as filming will also be taking place for two further non-Christmassy shows that day, please ensure your festive attire can be easily removed or concealed!”
The last time Bargain Hunt visited Lichfield was back in March when Caroline Hawley made her debut as presenter and those successful programmes have been broadcast on BBC1 in the past few months.
“We can’t reveal just yet who the presenter will be this time but there’s sure to be some fab auction action as the Reds and the Blues battle it out,” added Mr Winterton.
“Towards the finale of A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge famously promises: ‘I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.’
“And as Dickens concludes, in the end it was always said of Scrooge that he knew how to keep Christmas well – so may that be truly said of us this October!”
Filming takes place at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, on October 11 during Day Two of that week’s Antiques & Home Sale, starting at 9.30am.
