There will be lots on offer throughout the day, including arts and crafts, outdoor games, Panna football, a bear hunt trail, an inflatable T-Rex, stalls and more.

The council is expecting lots of interest in its Waterwalkerz, which will be available to try for £3.50 on Beacon Park’s pool. These are large clear inflatable balls. Adventurers are zipped inside, launched into the water, allowing them to walk, run, roll, flip and spin without getting wet.

Among all the fun, will be a teddy arena with games, stories, songs, a best dressed teddy competition and a teddy bears’ picnic.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure Services, said: “We are delighted to be holding a Fun Day at Beacon Park this August. We hope lots of families will join us for a day in the great outdoors. And, for all the little ones, don’t forget to bring your teddy so you can join in the teddy-themed fun.”

Entry to Beacon Park Fun Day is free, but there will be a small charge for some of the activities.
