Are you up for the challenge?
Darnford Moors Driving Range is about to launch it's "Beat the Bunker" challenge this Thursday 20th October to those of you who relish the chance to do something different.
This specially designed bunker masterminded by local golfing legend Robert Rock is set to be the talk of the town.
Everyone can have a go with corporate players pledging £50 per shot, non corporate players will pay £1 per shot.
How it works is that you have to play a sand shot onto the green where there will be a circle marked around the hole. If the corporate player's ball comes to rest within that circle the golf club will donate £50 to the player's charity of choice. However if the ball rests outside of the circle, the player's £50 will go towards the We Love Lichfield Fund.
If the non corporate player's ball rests within the desiginated circle they will win a bucket of balls to use on the driving range with the £1 going to the We Love Lichfield Fund.
If a player pledges £5 and they "Beat the Bunker" they will receive a golf lesson at Darnford Moors Golf Club.
"Beat the Bunker" is aimed at giving the We Love Lichfield Fund a real boost and to get everyone involved on a local level.
Why not try your luck this Thursday & get to meet Robert Rock himself and for those real golf enthusiats among you if you arrive after 12pm golf manufacturer Cleveland will be there offering demonstrations in their famous truck!
This will be an ongoing event so if you can't make this Thursday why not book another date with Darnford Moors Driving Range on 01543 256661.
