Help to raise funds for this year's Fuse Festival
Budding performers from Lichfield and surrounding areas are invited to play at Buskathon III, which is happening this year on June 23rd and 24th.
Bands, solo musicians, singers, jugglers, dancers, performance poets, actors, clowns, circus skills and performers of any talent are welcome to perform on the stages, at Speaker’s Corner, and in Lichfield’s Market Square.
Participants are asked to raise sponsorship money to take part in the event, with all proceeds going to Fuse. Buskathon III follows on from the success of similar events which have raised £1000’s for Lichfield’s Fuse Festival, one of the best, and more successful free festivals in Staffordshire’s entertainments calendar.
As well as performers, the event also needs enthusiastic audiences and supporters.
Tim Perks, Fuse Festival Spokesman said ‘Buskathon is now an established part of the Fuse Festival, and it creates a great family ocassion for budding performers to practice their art in front of a supportive audience, whilst raising much needed funds for the festival. It also helps to create a mini advert for the main event, which this year promises a packed weekend of music, comedy, and entertainment for the whole family’.
