Lichfield District Council’s next Countryside & Park Conservation Group event is at Muckley Corner Common and will involve making a new hibernacula for amphibians and reptiles, as well as cutting and clearing overgrown vegetation to make more space for wildflowers to grow.
Taking place on Wednesday 1 August from 10.30am to 3pm, the event is free and open to anyone over 18 years of age.
To get to the site, turn left off Walsall Road onto Boat Lane and follow the road to the t-junction, then turn left again. The entrance to Muckley Corner is at the end of the road on the left, immediately before the A5. The postcode is WS14 0BB.
To book your free place on the conservation day, please call Denice Deverall on 308183 or email denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk
