Middle Ground Theatre Company presents their acclaimed production of Prescription: Murder, featuring the legendary Lieutenant Columbo in his first ever case.
Psychiatrist Roy Fleming and his wife are celebrating their anniversary when he is called to deal with a female patient. On returning he has to soothe his angry wife with the promise of a holiday. When Fleming’s wife is found dead, Columbo is brought in to investigate, and seeds of doubt are planted in his mind.
In this, Columbo’s first ever outing, we see the genius of the character, made famous by Peter Falk, as he pits his wits against a master criminal.
Dr Fleming is played by Brian Capron, known by millions as murderer Richard Hillman in Coronation Street. Brian will be joined on stage by Richard Walsh (London’s burning), Alexandra Boyd (Coronation Street), and John Guerrasio, who dons the crumpled mac as Lieutenant Columbo.
Columbo will run at the Lichfield Garrick from Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 February at 7.30pm, with a Thursday and Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost from £15 to £23 and can be booked from www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the Box Office on 01543 412121.
