A national campaign to find Britain’s most loved local businesses as discovered that English House is Lichfield’s favorite small business. They also won the National category for the Gastro restaurant section.
Thousands of local people from Lichfield put forward their nominations for their favorite local business as part of a national campaign run by local business champion Louie Clegg thebestof.co.uk/lichfield.

A new survey of 2,000 people, also commissioned by thebestof.co.uk with YouGov, revealed that:
• Over a third of Brits said the Local newsagent was the most important high street business
• 71 per cent of Brits believe 2011 will be a financially tougher year for local businesses than 2010.
• 36% of Brits would be prepared to boycott major supermarket chains for a week or more in February to save local businesses.
