For the last concert of their Spring season Lichfield Arts are presenting a wonderful evening of the music of the legendary Django Reinhardt and swing era classics on Saturday May 21st at Lichfield Guildhall.
Performing the music will be Clarinettist Evan Christopher’s Django la Creole and his outstanding group of musicians.
They are guitarists David Blenkhorn, Dave Kelbie, bassist Sebastien Girardot and American Evan Christopher probably the worlds finest clarinettist.
Expect to hear European Gypsy Swing, the rhythms of New Orleans, Brazil and the Caribbean in the traditions of Sidney Bechet, and Barney Bigard .
Chris Francis for Lichfield Arts said “This will be a great end to our Spring season with their fresh and virtuosic interpretations of classic jazz.”
She added “ This will be wonderful way to get ready for the Lichfield Real Ale, Jazz & Blues Festival in June
