On Saturday 29 October, local people are invited to come along and make an environmentally friendly bird feeder to help our feathered friends survive the winter.
The park rangers will be on hand, between 11am and 3pm, to show families how to make their own bird feeder using pine cones, string, lard and seeds.
Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure Services, said: “Making a bird feeder and putting it up in your garden is a great way to help the birds, especially as winter is approaching. You will also receive a leaflet which includes interesting facts about birds.”
Each bird feeder costs £1. There is no need to book, just head towards the Swinfen Broun Pavilion any time between 11am and 3pm.
