G-Scapes News update
We saw a very small improvement in the weather during July - but could everyone do a sun dance for August please?! Here at the Plant Centre, we still have plenty of colourful Cottage Garden Perennials and Shrubs to brighten up beds and borders. So if you’vebeen on holiday and come back to a bare border or a dead pot, why not renew andreplace with something long lasting? For something a little more traditional, autumn/winter Pansies and Violas are due in soon...
Christmas Potatoes
It’s that time of year again - we now have Charlotte, Pentland Javelin, and Maris Peer potatoes ready for planting shortly so you can harvest in time for some tasty spuds in December. Plant out in pots or in our Potato Growing Bags (ideal for those with limited space on a balcony etc) in the next 6-8 weeks - simply add compost to the bags every few weeks and you can harvest the first potatoes from the end of November onwards.
Priced at £2.99 per pack for 9 Tubers, plus you can buy the Growing Bags for £4.99.
Summer Colour
Rainy weather this season has not helped patio plants much, but in contrast, lots of shrubs and perennials have performed exceptionally well. If your display is looking a little untidy, why not consider changing to longer lasting shrubs/perennials like Hydrangea, Escallonias, Astilbe, Heuchera and many others. These are all looking great & are good value for money, lasting for many years. Come and see our large range now available.
Lots of Pots!
We have a large range of pots in all shapes and sizes, from lightweight resin window boxes and glazed ceramic pots, to frost proof Yorkshire Flower Pots, Strawberry Jars, Rhubarb Forcers and more. Come and see our display and get your plants potted into something special!
