Gamer's convention coming to Lichfield
There's a new event in town, aimed squarely at roleplay, sci-fi, fantasy and cosplay fans. Organised by roleplay expert Jonathan Hicks and his wife Lisa, GAMMA CON aims to put Lichfield on the event map, and they are asking for the support of the local community to help make this event - planned as the first of many - a rousing success.
Over to Jonathan:
"We aim to back all the independent traders and clubs you don’t want to see whither away and give them a presence and regular place to trade and play.
If you’re a trader and want to know how to take part then select the 'TRADERS' tab on our website. For just £15 you can have a single table for the entire event and rest assured that all the event advertising will be taken care of by ourselves and the wide selection of media friends we have picked up over the years.
If you’re a player or someone who wishes to demo a game they created or simply wish to run a large or small game with your local group please check out the 'PLAYERS' tab in which you can find details on running a game or demonstration.
The West Midlands has a large Role-Playing community and its time we had our own event, so if you live in the surrounding Shires...get in touch!!!"
The event will also feature the UK Garrison, a Star Wars costuming organisation who troop for charity (in this case Help for Heroes) as well as representatives of Jedi News, the UK's biggest Star Wars fan site (and the worlds second largest) which is based in Burntwood.
