Lichfield District Council’s Biodiversity Officer, Chris Walsh, is leading a Winter Sunset Walk through Gentleshaw Common this December.
The walk will be a good opportunity to see the sun setting over the beautiful heathland panoramic view.
Chris Walsh said: “This should be an enjoyable walk. I will talk about the local habitat and the history of the common. I recommend for everyone coming along to bring a torch, dress in very warm clothing, and wear walking shoes or boots.”
The festive walk will include either tea or coffee and a mince pie. It costs £2, and can be booked by calling Denice Deverall on 01543 308183 or emailing denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
The Winter Sunset Walk is on 18 December 2010, from 3pm to 4.45pm, and is setting off from Ye Olde Windmill public house, in Gentleshaw.
