As more and more people are getting on their bike for travel purposes and for leisure, the sport has never been in better health.
Cycle Rides for All are encouraging more and more people to try cycling by offering FREE monthly cycle rides in and around Lichfield that promise a great few hours out and fun for the whole family.
Popular for beginners and the more experienced bike riders - the FREE cycle rides take place from March through to September and this year's cycle programme includes two new locations - Fishwick Lakes and Packington Moor Farm.
Cycle Rides for All 2014 Programme
30 March - Fisherwick Lakes
8.5 miles/level 2 - meet at Freedom Cycles at 10am
27 April - National Memorial Arboretum
15 miles/level 3 – meet at Freedom Cycles at 10am
25 May - Packington Moor Farm near Weeford
23 miles/level 4 – meet at Freedom Cycles at 10am
29 June - Fradley Junction
12 miles/level 2 – meet at Freedom Cycles at 10am
27 July - Lichfield taster ride
3.5 miles/level 1 – meet at Beacon Park at 11am
24 August - Fisherwick Lakes
8.5 miles/level 2 - meet at Freedom Cycles at 10am
28 September - Fradley Junction
14 miles/level 3 – meet at Freedom Cycles at 10am
A quick safety check of all the bikes takes place before setting off, to ensure that they are roadworthy.
Please note: safety helmets must be worn and a packed lunch and drink is required - although there is a cafe stop on most rides.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
