The internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Jazz vocalist, Stacey Kent, returns to the UK for a very select number of 2018 dates which includes the Lichfield Garrick on Tuesday 22nd May.
It’s a big year ahead for Stacey with the release of her most ambitious project yet, her first orchestral album ‘I Know I Dream’ (Sony Music/Okeh). This beautiful collection of songs, includes American Standards, Bossa Nova classics and Chansons, as well as original songs and reprises of some of Stacey's most loved repertoire - including numbers co-written by Nobel prize-winner Kazuo Ishiguro, whose song writing partnership with Stacey has formed an essential plank of her repertoire.
Stacey is a jazz singer in the mould of the greats, with a legion of fans worldwide, a host of honors and awards including a GRAMMY nomination, album sales in excess of 2 million, Gold, Double-Gold and Platinum-selling albums that have reached a series of No. 1 chart positions during the span of her career. ‘I Know I Dream’ has received glowing reviews, including a coveted five stars in Downbeat and won ‘Album of the Year” in the vocal category at the 2017 Jazz Japan Awards.
Stacey is touring ‘I Know I Dream’ worldwide including dates in Paris, New York and Lisbon. Her performance at the Lichfield Garrick is currently her only date in the Staffordshire/West Midlands region, making this a very special appearance and a rare opportunity for fans to see Stacey live on stage.
