Following last year’s huge sell-out success, the Lichfield Garrick is delighted to announce that the Garrick Rep Company’s production of Haunting Julia is set to return to the theatre for a two week run, before transferring to the Riverside Studios in London.
Christopher Timothy, star of stage and screen plays, will once again perform alongside Richard O’Callaghan and Dominic Hecht in the chilling tale, when it returns to the Lichfield Garrick from Saturday 30 April to Saturday 14 May.
Adrian Jackson, Lichfield Garrick’s Artistic and Executive Director, said, “This is the second time one of our in-house productions has transferred to London, showing the fantastic quality of theatre the Garrick Rep Company produces. I’m delighted Lichfield Garrick audiences will have another chance to see this remarkable drama, and would recommend booking early – going by last year’s sell-out run. “
Alan Ayckbourn’s gentle, funny, but disturbingly profound play follows the story of three men who are all coming to terms with the death of Julia - a musical prodigy. Her body was found lying in a pool of blood 12 years earlier, but did she really take her own life?
Her father Joe, played by Christopher Timothy, wants an answer. And, with the help of the psychic Ken and Julia’s boyfriend Andy, he intends to get one.
Haunting Julia will be performed in the Garrick Studio; an intimate 140-seat performance space, which is the perfect setting for this spooky ghost story.
Haunting Julia is playing at the Lichfield Garrick from Saturday 30 April to Saturday 14 May, with a variety of matinee and evening performances. Tickets cost £10 to £18 and can be booked from www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the Box Office on 01543 412121.
