Volunteers wanted to assist LDC Countryside team.
Taking place at Christian Fields on Saturday 5 November, from 10.30am to 4pm, the day will be spent learning the traditional countryside craft of hedge laying.
The plan is to lay new hedges, which play an important role as they encourage birds, small mammals and insects to the local nature reserve.
The group meets Christian Field’s top car park at 10.30am, and there’ll be tea, coffee and snacks to keep volunteers going throughout the day.
To book your place on this free event, please contact Denice Deverall on 01543 308183 or email denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
Remember to wear sturdy gardening clothes and gloves, and bring a packed lunch.
