This Fathers Day Erasmus Darwin House are opening up their gardens for a special event dedicated to all the Dads out there. For the first time ever the local museum is holding a Hog Roast & Real Ale event where families will be able to bring Dad for a special ‘manly’ lunch!
The garden, which was redesigned and launched in May, is the perfect place for this event. Alison Wallis, manager of the museum, said: “we are hoping that the lure of beer and the smell of meat cooking in the garden will attract families to come to the House for a relaxing lunch and a pleasant afternoon visit.”
If visitors would also like to take the opportunity to look around the House, the entrance fee for Dad will be waived for one day only. Inside there will be the usual fun activities including Erasmouse hunt and interactives. Why not dress Dad up in a Georgian costume and take his photo!
